What do I need to bring with me on the day?
Upon registration you will need to show a copy of your automated confirmation e-mail which you were sent upon sign up as well as a form of identity with your name on eg. Drivers license, passport, bank card or rail card. Nothing will be sent out to you in advance, all race pack will be collected on the day from the registration desk.
We advise arriving at registration 50 minutes prior to your race start time as there will be congestion. Please note the registration desk will be open from 9am. The earlier you get there the more efficient it will be on the day.
Race Numbers
In your registration pack will be your race number. This number is unique to you and your race distance therefore please do not give it to anyone else or try and run a different distance to what you have signed up for without informing the Run LDN check in team. Please ensure that your race bib is securely attached to the front of your running vest (there will be safety pins provided but please bring your own if you have them.)
On the back of the race bib will be a section where you can fill out your medical information and contact info, please ensure that this is filled out in full.
Your chip time mechanism will be attached to your race bib, please do not tamper with this in anyway as this is will ensure you receive an accurate chip time.
Baggage
We will have a secure area where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to the baggage tent staff and they will help you find your baggage.
Please note that Run LDN do not accept responsibility for any items which are lost or stolen in the baggage area. All items are left at the owners discretion.
Toilets
There will be portaloos for all runners a little walk from the Start/Finish so we recommend you take this into account and plan before the race starts.
Refreshments
There are a number of food vendors on site where it will be possible to purchase hot food and drink from both before and after the event.
There will also be a water station out on the route.
During the race
We will have marshals all around the course as well as mile flags. The course is on the roads/paths in the park:
-
Half Marathon – 1 small lap, 6 large laps
-
10k – 2 small laps, 2 large laps
-
5k – 1 small lap, 1 large lap
There will be a race briefing at the start of each race, due to the course being a lapped course with multiple different races going on at the same time it is critical for runners to pay attention to the signing which corresponds to their individual race to ensure that they are running the correct distance for their event. In the interest of safety to yourself, other runners, pedestrians and our marshals, it is very important that instructions are listened to, and that if you are wearing headphones, your music is at a level that will allow you to hear instructions clearly.
Also, please be aware that there will be spectators and members of the public using the park.
Spectators
This is a great event for spectators with the lap being wide and open so you can see the race at many different points along the route.
Results
Results will be available on www.run-ldn.co.uk after the event as well as print outs being on hand immediately after the race.
Pictures
We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be on our facebook and Instagram pages after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.
